Prof. Adelina Vallribera received her PhD in Chemistry in 1993 form de UAB under the supervision of Prof. J. Marquet. After a postdoctoral stay at the Laboratoire de Chimie Organique de Synthese in Belgium in the group of Prof. L. Ghosez, she joined the group of Prof. M. Moreno-Mañas in the UAB. She became assistant professor in 1997 in the unit of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the UAB and Full Professor in 2017. Her research interests are focused on fluorous chemistry applied  to pharmaceuticals and materials, and on stereoselective methodological transformations.

Prof. Roser Pleixats received her PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1984, under the supervision of Prof. Marcial Moreno Mañas. After a postdoctoral stay at the Université des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc (USTL) in Montpellier with Prof. R. J. P. Corriu and E. Colomer, she returned to UAB where she became Associate Professor in 1991 and Full Professor of Organic Chemistry in 2004. She has been assistant coordinator of the degree in Chemistry, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and coordinator of the PhD program in Materials Science. Her current research interests focus on metal nanoparticles and organosilica-based (nano)materials for catalysis and biomedical applications.

Dr. Albert Granados became chemist in 2013 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2014, he recieved his Master degree in Electrochemistry, Science and Technology related with organic electrosynthesis under the supervision of Prof. Iluminada Gallardo. Then, he joined to Prof. Vallribera's group at UAB where he developed his PhD related with enantioselective catalysis and preparation of functional materials. His research interests are focused on stereoselective transformations and fluorous chemistry applied to pharmaceuticals and materials science.

Guillem Fernández obtained the Bachelor in Chemistry in 2014 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Then he performed a Master degree (Industrial Chemistry and Introduction to Chemical Research) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Since November 2015 he was working as a lab technician in the Prof. Pleixats’s group. In 2016 he started his phD under the supervision of Prof. Roser Pleixats. His investigations are focused on metallic nanoparticles for their applications in catalysis.
