Presentation of the Postgraduate in Psychomotor Development from 0 to 8 years old.

During the 1998-1999 academic year, the 1st edition of the Psychomotor Development Postgraduate from 0 to 8 years old was held. Since then, 17 editions have been carried out successfully with more than 400 psychomotricists trained.

This postgraduate degree is a UAB degree of 35 ETCS credits. Its objective is to respond to the need for education professionals to delve deeper into the field of psychomotricity, expanding both the content and the skills acquired during initial training.

Psychomotor intervention is a tool that allows an educational and preventive approach in everything related to attention to diversity and social cohesion, especially in the first years of life, the first ages of life.

The stage of early childhood education and the first years of primary education is where the child manifests himself from his global point of view, and where the professionals who accompany him in his growth development must have an action based on careful gaze, observation, active listening and action. All this, in a framework that tends to promote the foundations of a solid body image.

From a perspective that contemplates the construction of knowledge, it is based on the baggage of the participants and it is intended that the contents of the postgraduate program expand, integrate and give a new meaning, opening new avenues for deepening and research.

If you want to know more about the Postgraduate in "Psychomotor Development from 0 to 8 years old" we recommend that you watch the promotional video, where you can hear the opinion of the faculty and ex-students. Schedule and calendar

The psychomotor training has three fundamental pillars: theoretical training, practical training and personal training (Body Work of the psychomotricist).

Based on this, the postgraduate course is organized as follows:

Class schedule:

Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm where theoretical-practical seminars and tutorials are held.

One weekend a month where Adult Body Work is done in the faculty gym and practical seminars on children's massage, dance and play. Friday from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

Calendar:

Classes will start on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 and end in early June, 2,021.

Then, in October 2021 the students deliver the "Learning Folder" and in October this work will be exposed in the tutoring group (5/6 students) and to the tutor.

Practice schedule and calendar:

8 psychomotricity sessions (1 per week) are held in schools or Psychomotor Education centers from the second quarter. The practices complement the postgraduate teaching hours during this period.

Practicum

Practicum presentation:

During this training the student must have availability for 8 sessions of psychomotor activity as a practice in schools or centers of Psychomotor Education (school or after-school hours).

These practices are carried out in centers that are part of our network of schools and guarantee that the professional accompanying the students is trained in psychomotor skills.

However, we are always open to incorporating new centers at the request of students as long as they notify us at the beginning of the postgraduate course and that center has a psychomotricist trained in psychomotricity. Prior to final acceptance, the management and coordination personally contacts the center and the psychomotor driver to ensure their suitability.

Most of the centers that are part of our network are during school hours because the training is aimed at psychomotor professionals in education, but we also have some extra-curricular centers to try to answer those / students who cannot perform them during school hours due to incompatibility with their work.

If you want to do more extension practices it is also possible, both in the center or in others to see more diversity.
