SENSPOL TECHNICAL MEETING
Sevilla | Aznalcollar 6-9 Noviembre 2002
The main objective of Senspol Technical Meeting was made a field exhibition of instruments and sensors developed by different research groups for polluted soils and sediments analyse.
The process includes several steps: sample taken, sample treatment and preparation and defined analytes measurement. This first step was made for getting reference values to assure the right measurement of sensors and instruments. Sample taken and sample treatment and preparation was made by Centre Grup de Tècniques de Separació en QuÃmica-Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona-(GTS-UAB), the company Técnicas de Protección Ambiental, S.A. (TPA), both participating in the European Project DIMDESMOTOM and the Instituto de QuÃmica Medioambiental (IIQAB-CSIC, Barcelona).(Link: www.iiqab.csic.es)
Sample taken and homogenisation was made by TPA. Sample treatment and analyse was made in GTS-UAB laboratory (heavy metals) and IIQAB-CSIC (hydrocarbures) on October 2002. Treated samples (homogenised solids sediments and their correspondent liquid extracts) were given to the participants in the Technical Meeting for performing the correspondent measurements.
