Ricardo Mendoza-Canales

He holds a PhD in philosophy from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (2015). His doctoral dissertation dealt with the role and evolution of the concept of intuitive presentification in the transcendental turn of Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology (1898-1913), qualified as Sobresaliente cum laude (highest grade possible). He has been research fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the UAB (Spain), visiting researcher at the Center for Philosophy da Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal) and doctoral visiting researcher at the Husserl Archive in Cologne (Germany). He has received grants and fellowships for researching and academic improvement from the Fundacion Carolina, DAAD, UAB and Banco Santander. His area of specialization is modern and contemporary philosophy (in particular the phenomenology of Edmund Husserl) and his research interests cover issues such as imagination and phantasy, Heidegger's interpretation of Husserl's phenomenology, philosophy of culture and the theory of literature.
