My research is framed within the study of linguistic practices in multilingual and multicultural educational contexts from a perspective that integrates linguistic anthropology, interactional sociolinguistics and sociocultural learning theories. Since 2009 I have been a member of the GREIP Research Group. I have participated in several Spanish and European R+D projects, as well as a number of teaching innovation and socio-educational projects. I have been a lecturer in the Department of Language, Literature and Social Science Education at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2010 - 2015) and in the Languages Department the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (2010-2015), where I was Director for 4 years. At both universities I participated in the development of teachers for preschool, primary, secondary and tertiary education and of educational language policy.
I was a researcher in the School of Education at the University of Leeds (UK) as part of the Beatriu Pinós program (Generalitat de Catalunya), affiliated with the Language Education team and the large AHRC project TLANG. At the University of Leeds I also tutor in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies from 2014 to 2016. Currently I am reintegrated into my work at the UAB as a member of the teaching faculty of the Education department and am director of several PhD dissertations. I am also co-researcher on numerous projects. I have taught on the Master in Applied Languages at the Universitat de Lleida and collaborate with public and third sector educational institutions in Catalonia on different projects.
