Surname:
Armentano
Short biography:
I’m Archaeologist and PhD in Biological Anthropology by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with the thesis “La reconstrucció tafonòmica dels enterraments col·lectius”.
I have a background in both human osteology and archaeological fieldwork. My research mainly looks at understanding taphonomy within funerary contexts, as a means to broaden our understanding of the consequences of post-mortem treatment, decomposition, and human manipulation on the final lay-out of archaeological contexts.
I’m interested in the biology of past populations by looking at demographic profiles, non-metric traits, trauma and pathology.
