Noelia Burdeus

She is a postdoctoral researcher at the Psychology and Cultures Laboratory of the Université Laval (Quebec, Canada) and a member of the research groups MIRAS and CELAT. She has experience as a researcher and/or trainer at an international level: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and Université Jean Monnet de Saint Étiene (France), and Université Laval (Quebec, Canadá).

In the academic year 2012-2013, she conducted a research residency in the Centre d'Études Ethniques des Universités Montréalaises (CEETUM), in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). Her research activities focus on public service interpreting, especially in healthcare settings. She has published articles in academic journals and has participated in several renowned seminars, congresses, courses and scientific dissemination events at a national and an international level, such as Critical Link 7 and 8.

Education: PhD cum laude in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies (UAB), Master in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies (UAB); Master in Translation and Interpreting Research (UJI); Master in Teaching Catalan as a First and Second Language (UB); University Expert Degree in Pedagogic Foundations and Applied Linguistics for Teaching and Learning Spanish as a Second or Foreign Language (UR); and BA in Translation and Interpreting (ES-CAT-EN-FR) (UJI).
