I obtained my bachelor's degree in Physics (2013-2017) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Then, I obtained the grant Beques Màsters d'Excel·lència of Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera to study the Master's degree in Photonics offered jointly by the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the UAB and the Institut de Ciències Fotòniques (ICFO), during the course 2017-2018. In my bachelor's thesis, I studied the stability and dynamics of a Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in two rings in stack configuration, and I generalized the analysis to a binary mixture in the same system for my master thesis, both under the guidance of Dr. Verònica Ahufinger. In March 2019 I started my PhD studies in the QAOS group at UAB under the supervision of Dr. Verònica Ahufinger and Dr. Jordi Mompart. We aim to study ultracold quantum gases trapped in optical lattices as quantum simulators of condensed matter systems exhibiting topological properties. Also, we will explore systems of ultracold atoms trapped in various geometries in order to design atomtronic devices and quantum sensing applications.
