I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Physics (2009-2014) at Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Afterwards I obtained a Master in Photonics (2014-2015) within a joint program between the UB, Universitat Politècnica de Cataluna (UPC), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Institut de Ciències Fotòniques (ICFO). My master thesis was about Quantum phase transitions of a Bose-Einstein condensate under the supervision of Prof. Anna Sanpera (UAB) and as a result of some of the work done, we published a paper entitled Quantum spin models with mesoscopic Bose-Einstein condensates (Phys. Rev. A 94, 063626 (2016)). Before starting the PhD I also started a Master’s degree in Teaching in Secondary Schools (2015-2017) within a join program between UB, UAB, UPC, UPF and UOC. In September 2016 I joined the QAOS group at UAB as a PhD student under the supervision of Dra. Verònica Ahufinger and Dr. Jordi Mompart. My research interests are Quantum Optics and Quantum Technologies. In my thesis I plan to investigate the opportunities provided by waveguides in order to construct new photonic devices and photonic simulators making use of supersymmetric quantum mechanics and adiabatic passage techniques.
